Mickell J. Summerhays

Mickell Summerhays is an experienced commercial litigator dedicated to providing practical solutions for her clients in construction law, contract disputes, and commercial litigation. Before joining Gammage & Burnham, Mickell began her legal career as a law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals, working first for the Honorable Michael J. Brown and then for the former Chief Judge Peter B. Swann. She subsequently practiced at a small firm specializing in construction law and commercial litigation. Prior to law school, Mickell served as the communications director for a local branch of the National Association of Realtors, where she managed public relations and cultivated relationships with media and Realtor members.

Outside of her legal practice, Mickell is actively involved in the Maricopa Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the State Bar of Arizona, where she recently graduated from the Bar Leadership Institute. Mickell spends much of her free time with her husband and sons. In whatever time is left, she enjoys golf, painting, and baking sourdough bread.
